Beyond the Ashes: The Lowcountry’s New Beginnings Opening Reception
The Charleston Museum is pleased to present its new permanent exhibition, Beyond the Ashes: The Lowcountry’s New Beginnings. This exhibit will cover topics such as the political and social changes that took place in the wake of the Civil War, the Jim Crow Era, the Earthquake of 1886, the Charleston Renaissance, the transformation of Charleston in the 20th century, the impact of the World Wars on the area, and the local Civil Rights struggle.
The Museum invites its community to celebrate the opening of this important exhibit with a special opening celebration and reception. Be among the first to explore the exhibit, years in the making. Featured live music will complement savory heavy hors-d’oeuvres and a curated open bar. Highlighting the night, the Museum is thrilled to partner with the local luxury brand, Don Luchi Prosecco for an exclusive toast, marking the grand opening of its newest exhibit.
