Behind the Seams Exclusively for Society Members

What does it mean to be a maker? The Charleston Museum’s Curator of Historic Textiles, Virginia Theerman, explores how creativity and identity go hand-in-hand in the upcoming exhibition from the Historic Textiles collection, Designers and Artisans: Made in the Lowcountry, opening October 24.

On October 21, Museum Society Members will have the special opportunity to view this exhibition before it opens to the public. Ms. Theerman will be on hand to answer questions as she dresses a mannequin and puts the finishing touches on this engaging display of objects from the 18th century to present day. This program is FREE of charge and exclusively for current Museum Society Members (Milby Burton Society, Manigault Society and 1773 Society). Not a Society Member, yet?  Join (or upgrade) your Membership, today!
