Behind the Seams Exclusively for Society Members

Behind the Seams Exclusively for Society Members

In an “unprecedented” era when large gatherings have been discouraged and fashion has trended towards leisurewear, Curator of Historic Textiles Virginia Theerman celebrates getting dressed up for outdoor events in the upcoming exhibition The Lawn Party: From Satin to Seersucker, opening May 8 in the Historic Textiles Gallery.

On May 5, Museum Society Members will have the special opportunity to join the “party” and tour this exhibition before it opens to the public. Theerman will be on hand to answer questions as she puts the finishing touches on this engaging display of objects from the 1820s to present day. This program is FREE and exclusively for current Museum Society Members (Milby Burton Society, Manigault Society and 1773 Society). Not a Society Member, yet?  Join (or upgrade) your Membership, today!
