2016 Annual Oyster Roast at The Dill Sanctuary
Please join us on February 20 from 2-5 pm for our Annual Oyster Roast. Enjoy an incredible view of the Stono River at the Dill Sanctuary while you shuck oysters and eat delicious barbecue from Sticky Fingers. Sit by the river and enjoy a beer from Palmetto Brewery or a Natural Blonde Bloody Mary, accessorized with a Granna’s Gourmet garnish, as you listen to the tunes of Air Sculptures.Those of you with a sweet tooth will be excited to hear that Charleston’s famous Diggity Doughnut truck will be parked on site! Attendees are also invited to join Chief Curator Grahame Long as he leads a guided tour to the earthen works of Battery Pringle, once used as a Confederate fortification.
So, bring your friends, your appetites, chairs and blankets, and join us for a day of Lowcountry fun!
Make sure to purchase your tickets in advance to receive a discount!
Tickets are all-inclusive and account for admission, BBQ, oysters, beer, wine, Bloody Marys, oyster shooters, a battery tour with the Museum’s Chief Curator and one gourmet Diggity Doughnut. No pets, please.
