The Charleston Museum offers three different types of camp programs. We offer a Spring Break camp and our Nature Trailers Summer Camp at the Dill Sanctuary on James Island. Also in the summer we offer a special day-camp program at the Museum. See calendar of events for more information.

Discovery Day, Ages 2 to 5 years

Discovery Day is designed for young learners to explore the Museum, historic houses and Dill Sanctuary with a parent or guardian. Program fee includes admission for one child and one adult.

Family Fun Events, All ages

The Charleston Museum offers a special Saturday program dedicated to providing an educational and exciting experience for the whole family. Join us for a different themed event including presentations and craft projects for children of all ages. Themes include archaeology, historic crafts, animals, and more. All Family Fun Events are free for Museum members and free with admission.

Full STEAM Ahead, Ages 5 and up

Full STEAM Ahead is a hands-on workshop series featuring the components of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Programs include experiments, tours, and hands-on activities. Reservations required.

Kid Tours, All Ages

Kid Tours is a series designed to highlight artifacts from our collection that have fascinated children for years. Kid Tours meet the first Wednesday of every month at 3:30 p.m. and includes a craft project or activity. This program is for children of all ages. If your children are interested in the topic, they will enjoy the program. During June and July these programs run weekly. All Kid Tours are free for Museum members and free with admission.

Scout Programs

The Charleston Museum's collection is a great tool for helping scouts meet their badge requirements. Let us plan a badge workshop for your troop!
