Since its founding in 1773, The Charleston Museum has preserved and shared a growing collection of treasures with the people of Charleston and the Lowcountry. Today, the Museum continues to educate and inspire through exhibitions, programs, social gatherings, lectures, demonstrations, and symposia, while preserving an expansive collection representing the most comprehensive assemblage of South Carolina materials in the nation.
