The Charleston Museum seeks a professionally qualified team player for the full-time position of Curatorial Assistant – Natural History.
Primary responsibilities include data entry, collections cataloging and recordkeeping, assisting with fossil and other specimen preparation, assisting with the housing of collection specimens, assisting with departmental programs and exhibits, and other necessary efforts as assigned by the Curator of Natural History.
Required: B.A. in biology or related field; excellent computer skills; familiarity with natural history specimens and fossils and their proper housing and care; general knowledge of the natural history of the southeastern U.S.; Previous experience with collections data entry and/or fossil and specimen preparation in a museum setting preferred.
